The Carlo Gavazzi CA30CAN25BPM1IO is an advanced M30 non-flush capacitive proximity sensor with IO-Link designed for reliable non-contact detection in industrial automation and process applications. Part of the Carlo Gavazzi CA30CA 4th Generation TRIPLESHIELD™ series, it combines a 25 mm rated operating distance, adjustable sensitivity and intelligent communication in a robust cylindrical PBT housing.
The sensing range can be adjusted from approximately 4–30 mm, allowing the detection point to be configured for different target materials and installation conditions. Capacitive sensing technology enables the CA30CAN25BPM1IO to detect both conductive and non-conductive materials, including liquids, plastics, glass, powders and granular products, making it suitable for presence detection, level monitoring and material sensing.
Operating from a 10–40 V DC supply, the CA30CAN25BPM1IO supports configurable NPN, PNP and Push-Pull switching together with IO-Link communication. Its 4-pole M12 connector, M30 threaded construction, improved EMC performance, ECOLAB compatibility and IP67, IP68 and IP69K protection provide a versatile sensing solution for demanding industrial environments.
Capacitive proximity sensors detect changes in capacitance when a target enters the sensor's electrical field, allowing them to sense both conductive and non-conductive materials.
