The Carlo Gavazzi LDP2TA2BM24 is a dual-channel inductive loop detector designed for reliable vehicle detection in access-control, gate, barrier and traffic-management applications. It monitors two inductive loops, allowing a single detector to provide vehicle-presence information from two separate detection zones.
Designed for a 24 V AC/DC supply, the LDP2TA2BM24 supports loop inductances from 15–1500 µH and features automatic adjustment with manual fine-tuning. Dual-loop operation also enables directional logic, making the detector particularly useful where vehicle movement, sequence or direction needs to be determined.
The detector provides two SPST relay outputs rated at 1 A / 250 V AC and uses an 11-pin circular plug connection. LED indication assists with power, relay-status and loop-fault monitoring, while its compact 80 × 35.5 × 63 mm enclosure and wide -40 to +70 °C operating temperature range support dependable control-panel installation.
The LDP2TA2BM24 works with inductive loops installed in or beneath a roadway surface. When a vehicle enters the loop's magnetic field, the resulting change in loop inductance is detected by the unit and converted into a relay output for the associated gate, barrier, door or traffic-control system.
Using two loop inputs enables more sophisticated control than a single-loop detector. The LDP2TA2BM24 can support directional logic and vehicle-sequence detection, making it suitable for installations where the controller needs to determine not only vehicle presence but also movement through two detection zones. Automatic adjustment and diagnostic LED indication help simplify commissioning and fault finding.
