Why Choose the IMO MSE/00-0C Photo-Electric Through-Beam Emitter?
The IMO MSE/00-0C is a compact and reliable M18 through-beam photoelectric emitter designed for industrial object detection, positioning and automation applications. As the transmitting element of a through-beam sensing pair, it generates an infrared beam for detection by a compatible receiver positioned on the opposite side of the monitored area.
Designed around the established M18 cylindrical photoelectric sensor format, the MSE/00-0C combines a durable plastic housing with a right-angle optical configuration. This radial sensing arrangement is particularly useful where installation depth is restricted or where the sensing beam needs to run perpendicular to the sensor body.
The MSE/00-0C operates from a standard industrial DC supply and is supplied with an integrated 2 m cable. When paired with the corresponding through-beam receiver, the sensor family supports long-range detection of up to 16 m, making it suitable for conveyors, packaging machinery, material handling systems and automated production equipment.

Reliable Right-Angle Through-Beam Detection
Through-beam photoelectric sensing uses separate emitter and receiver units mounted opposite one another. The MSE/00-0C provides the transmitting side of the system, generating an infrared beam that is monitored by the corresponding receiver. When an object interrupts the beam, the receiver changes its output state so that the event can be detected by the connected machine or control system.
The right-angle optical configuration allows the beam to leave the side of the cylindrical sensor rather than following the sensor body's longitudinal axis. This provides additional installation flexibility in compact machinery while retaining the dependable long-range detection associated with through-beam photoelectric technology.
