The IMO B6CRC1N13-30-A is a compact Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection (RCBO) designed to protect individual electrical circuits against earth leakage, overload and short-circuit faults. Combining residual current and overcurrent protection within one space-saving device simplifies installation and helps maximise available capacity inside consumer units, distribution boards and electrical control panels.
Part of the IMO B6 compact RCBO range, this model provides Type A residual current protection. It is designed to detect sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents, making it suitable for modern circuits supplying electronic equipment, LED drivers, appliances, control devices and switched-mode power supplies.
Featuring a 13 A rated current, 30 mA residual operating current, Type C tripping characteristic and 6 kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the B6CRC1N13-30-A provides dependable protection for lighting, heating, control and lower-power equipment circuits that may experience moderate inrush currents.
The IMO B6CRC1N13-30-A continuously monitors the connected circuit for excessive current and current leaking to earth. When a qualifying overload, short circuit or residual current fault occurs, the RCBO rapidly disconnects the electrical supply to help reduce the risk of electric shock, damaged equipment and electrical fires.
Type A residual current sensing is particularly valuable in contemporary installations because electronic devices can produce pulsating DC leakage currents. The Type C operating characteristic also permits moderate starting currents, making the RCBO suitable for circuits containing LED drivers, transformers, contactor coils, control power supplies and similar electrical equipment.
