The IMO B6CRC1N16-30-A is a compact Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection (RCBO) designed to protect individual electrical circuits against earth leakage, overload and short-circuit faults. By combining the functions of an MCB and an RCD within one space-saving device, it simplifies installation and helps maximise available capacity inside consumer units, distribution boards and electrical control panels.
Part of the IMO B6 Compact RCBO range, this model provides Type A residual current protection. It detects sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents, making it suitable for modern circuits supplying electronic equipment, LED drivers, appliances, switched-mode power supplies and control devices containing semiconductor components.
Featuring a 16 A rated current, 30 mA residual operating current, Type C tripping characteristic and 6 kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the B6CRC1N16-30-A provides dependable protection for socket outlets, lighting, heating equipment, control systems and other final circuits that may experience moderate starting currents.
The IMO B6CRC1N16-30-A continuously monitors the connected circuit for excessive current and current leaking to earth. When a qualifying overload, short circuit or residual current fault occurs, the RCBO rapidly disconnects the electrical supply to help reduce the risk of electric shock, equipment damage and electrical fires.
Type A residual current sensing is particularly valuable in contemporary installations because electronic equipment can produce pulsating DC leakage currents. The Type C operating characteristic also allows moderate starting currents, making this compact RCBO suitable for circuits containing LED drivers, transformers, contactors, pumps, control power supplies and similar electrical loads.
