The Mersen 83230133 is a high performance Type 2+3 Surge Protection Device (SPD) designed to protect low voltage electrical installations from transient overvoltages caused by lightning strikes and switching events. As part of the Mersen Surge-Trap® Pluggable STPT23 Series, it combines robust surge protection with a compact pluggable design, making it ideal for commercial, industrial and automation applications.
Designed for three-phase plus neutral systems, this four-pole SPD provides reliable protection for switchboards, control panels and critical electrical equipment. The pluggable cartridges simplify servicing, while the integrated remote indication contact enables continuous monitoring of the device status for proactive maintenance.
