The Mersen BNIT55V20M32 is a BS88 Type A1 offset tag fuse link designed specifically for motor circuit protection. Manufactured by Mersen, this gM motor protection fuse provides reliable short-circuit protection for motors, motor starters and associated control equipment while allowing the high inrush currents experienced during motor starting. It is rated at 550 V AC, 250 V DC and carries a 20M32 A motor rating.
Manufactured in accordance with EN 60269-2 and BS88 Part 2, the BNIT55V20M32 delivers excellent current limitation and high fault interruption capability. The Type A1 offset tag construction provides secure mounting in compatible fuse holders, busbars and switch disconnectors.
Designed for coordinated motor protection systems, the fuse provides dependable short-circuit protection while thermal overload protection is supplied separately by a motor overload relay or motor protection circuit breaker.
gM fuse links are specifically designed for motor applications. They tolerate normal motor starting currents while providing rapid interruption during short-circuit faults, helping to protect motors, contactors, cables and switchgear from severe fault damage. A separate overload relay should always be used to provide overload protection.
The Mersen BNIT55V20M32 is suitable for motor starters, motor control centres, industrial switchgear and OEM machinery where coordinated motor protection is essential.
