The ABB S201-C4 is a compact single-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) from the established ABB System pro M compact S200 range. It is designed to protect low-voltage cables and circuits against overloads and short circuits using reliable thermal-magnetic tripping technology.
With a 4 A rated current and a Type C tripping characteristic, the S201-C4 is suitable for lower-current circuits that may experience moderate starting or inrush currents. Typical uses include industrial control circuits, automation equipment, instrumentation, signalling systems, small transformers and auxiliary power supplies.
The ABB S201-C4 offers a 6 kA rated short-circuit breaking capacity at 230/400 V AC under IEC/EN 60898-1. It also provides a 10 kA ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity under IEC/EN 60947-2, helping deliver dependable circuit protection across residential, commercial and industrial installations.
The ABB S201-C4 combines two complementary tripping mechanisms. Its delayed thermal release responds to sustained overload conditions, while the electromagnetic release rapidly disconnects the circuit when a short circuit occurs.
