The Lovato DMECD is an intelligent, expandable data concentrator designed to collect pulse signals and operating data from energy meters, utility meters, machinery and other monitoring equipment. Featuring 8 built-in programmable digital inputs and an integrated RS485 communication port, it provides a practical central interface between field devices and remote energy-management or supervision systems.
As part of the Lovato Electric energy metering range, the DMECD can collect pulse information from compatible DMEM100T1 and DMED energy meters, as well as other devices equipped with pulse outputs. Its flexible configuration also allows it to monitor water, gas, production counters, machine cycles, alarms and general-purpose digital signals.
The compact 4-module DIN rail housing includes a clear backlit graphic LCD for local viewing and configuration. Expansion through Lovato EXM series modules can increase the number of digital inputs from 8 to 14 inputs and add communication, memory or digital output capabilities, making the DMECD suitable for both straightforward metering systems and more advanced monitoring installations.
The Lovato DMECD collects pulses and digital signals from connected meters and equipment, converting them into organised data that can be viewed locally or transmitted to a remote supervision system. Each input can be programmed for different functions, allowing the device to track energy consumption, operating hours, production quantities, equipment status or alarms.
