Why Choose the Lovato DMG100 Modular Digital Multimeter?
The Lovato DMG100 is a compact three-phase digital multimeter designed for comprehensive electrical monitoring in industrial switchboards, commercial distribution panels and automation systems. Part of the Lovato DMG measurement instrument range, it combines high-accuracy True RMS measurement with an intuitive backlit LCD display in a space-saving four-module DIN rail housing.
The DMG100 can monitor single-phase, two-phase and three-phase electrical systems with or without a neutral conductor. It measures phase-to-phase and phase-to-neutral voltage, phase and neutral current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, frequency, energy and maximum demand. It also provides voltage and current harmonic analysis up to the 15th harmonic order.
Designed for use with external current transformers having a 1 A or 5 A secondary output, the DMG100 is suitable for monitoring a wide range of electrical loads. Its wide-range 100–240 V AC or 110–250 V DC auxiliary supply, multilingual interface and tool-free DIN rail installation make it a practical solution for panel builders, electrical contractors and facilities engineers.

Comprehensive Electrical System Monitoring
The Lovato DMG100 provides detailed visibility of electrical system performance by displaying instantaneous, minimum, maximum, average and maximum-demand values. Engineers can monitor individual phases and total system values to identify voltage imbalance, current imbalance, excessive demand and abnormal loading conditions.
Its harmonic monitoring functions help identify distortion caused by variable speed drives, switched-mode power supplies and other non-linear loads. Imported and exported energy counters, partial counters, hour counters and programmable limit thresholds further support preventive maintenance and energy-efficiency programmes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Lovato DMG100 used for?
The DMG100 monitors voltage, current, power, energy, power factor, frequency, demand and harmonics in single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
Does the DMG100 require current transformers?
Yes. The DMG100 is designed for use with external current transformers having a 1 A or 5 A secondary output.
Can the DMG100 measure harmonics?
Yes. It measures voltage and current total harmonic distortion and provides individual harmonic analysis from the second to the 15th harmonic order.
Does the DMG100 include Modbus communication?
No. The DMG100 does not include an integrated communication interface. Applications requiring built-in RS485 Modbus communication should consider a compatible Lovato model designed with communications.
What electrical systems can the DMG100 monitor?
It can monitor single-phase, two-phase and balanced or unbalanced three-phase systems with or without a neutral conductor.
How is the Lovato DMG100 installed?
The DMG100 occupies four DIN modules and can be mounted on a standard 35 mm DIN rail or secured using its removable mounting clips.
