The ABB BWS616YTPN (2CMA142425R1000) is a high-quality 6-pole enclosed safety switch designed to provide safe and reliable electrical isolation for three-phase installations where both phase and neutral conductors require switching. As part of ABB's trusted BWS range of enclosed safety switches, it combines dependable switching performance with a robust IP65 UV-resistant polycarbonate enclosure, making it ideal for demanding industrial, commercial and OEM applications.
The enclosure is manufactured from rigid UV-stabilised polycarbonate and features a highly visible red side-operated handle with a yellow cover for enhanced safety. The interlocked cover prevents access whilst the switch is energised, and the handle can be padlocked during maintenance. The switch is supplied complete with 1 NO auxiliary contact, together with PE and fixed neutral terminals for straightforward installation. Compression glands can be fitted to maintain the IP65 protection rating.
Rated at 16 A AC-23A with a 7.5 kW motor switching capacity, the BWS616YTPN is suitable for machinery isolation, HVAC systems, pumps, conveyors, control panels and industrial power distribution where safe lockable isolation is essential.
