The IMO PE69-4040L is a heavy-duty 4-pole enclosed switch disconnector designed to provide safe and dependable electrical isolation for industrial machinery, commercial installations, distribution systems and OEM equipment. Part of the established IMO 69 Series, it disconnects all three phase conductors and the neutral conductor simultaneously during maintenance, servicing and emergency shutdown procedures.
The L-version enclosure provides additional internal space for cable entry, conductor bending and terminal access compared with the standard PE69-4040 enclosure. This makes the isolator particularly suitable for installations involving larger conductors, multiple cable glands or applications where more generous wiring space is required.
With a 40 A AC-21 operational rating, a 32 A AC-23 utilisation rating and an AC-23B motor switching capacity of up to 16 kW at 400 V AC, the IMO PE69-4040L is suitable for isolating motors, pumps, compressors, HVAC equipment, control panels and three-phase distribution circuits requiring switched-neutral isolation.
The IMO PE69-4040L provides a clear and secure method of disconnecting electrical equipment before inspection, maintenance or repair work begins. Its 4-pole design isolates all three phase conductors together with the neutral conductor, providing complete circuit disconnection where switched-neutral isolation is required.
The larger enclosure provides additional room for cable glands, conductor bending and terminal access, helping simplify installation where larger cables or more complex wiring arrangements are involved. The interlocked rotary handle also helps prevent access to the enclosure while the switch is in the ON position.
For maintenance safety, the handle can be secured in the OFF position with padlocks, helping prevent accidental or unauthorised reconnection while work is being carried out.
