Why Choose the ILME CX75RM Male 75 Ohm Coaxial Crimp Contact?

The ILME CX75RM is a precision male 75 Ω coaxial crimp contact designed for transmitting coaxial signals through the ILME MIXO modular connector system. Manufactured for installation in the compatible ILME CX 04 RM coaxial modular insert, it provides a compact solution for incorporating video, instrumentation and other controlled-impedance signal circuits into robust industrial heavy-duty connector assemblies.

The CX75RM is designed in accordance with the DIN 41626 coaxial contact format and features gold-plated contact surfaces, body, rear section and ferrule. Its crimp termination creates a secure connection between the coaxial cable and contact, helping maintain the centre-conductor and outer-shield arrangement required for dependable 75 Ω signal transmission in demanding industrial environments.

Compatible cable types include RG 187 A/U and TZC 75 101, both with a maximum external diameter of 2.79 mm. Used as part of the CX 04 R system, the contact supports electrical characteristics of 1.5 A at 50 V, a working voltage of 250 V RMS and a test voltage of 750 V RMS, making it a versatile choice for industrial coaxial connectivity.

Key Advantages

  • Purpose-designed male 75 Ω coaxial contact for ILME MIXO modular connectors.
  • Compatible with RG 187 A/U and TZC 75 101 75 Ω coaxial cables.

Reliable 75 Ohm Coaxial Connectivity in the MIXO System

The ILME CX75RM allows 75 Ω coaxial signal circuits to be incorporated into a modular industrial connector rather than requiring separate standalone coaxial connectors. Installed in the CX 04 RM insert, it can form part of a module accommodating up to four coaxial contacts, providing a compact interface for multiple signal channels.

For correct cable preparation and termination, ILME recommends the COST coaxial cable stripping tool and COPZ crimping tool. The centre contact is terminated first before the cable braid is positioned around the rear section and secured by crimping the ferrule. The CLES extraction tool can be used when a contact needs to be removed from the CX R insert during assembly or servicing.

Typical Applications

  • Industrial video and camera signal connections.
  • 75 Ω coaxial communication circuits.
  • Industrial instrumentation and measurement equipment.
  • Machine vision and monitoring systems.
  • Broadcast and video signal integration in industrial equipment.
  • Test and measurement machinery.
  • OEM equipment requiring removable coaxial connectivity.
  • ILME MIXO modular heavy-duty connector assemblies.
