The LVFSA1D05 is supplied with a 5 m PVC AD8 3G1 cable carrying ACS health certification for drinking-water use. Its internal 1 changeover (C/O-SPDT) contact is rated up to 10 A at 250 V AC in AC-1 and allows the switch to be wired for either filling or emptying control.
An external AISI 316 stainless-steel counterweight is supplied with the float switch, allowing the switching levels to be adjusted by changing the distance between the counterweight and float. With IP68 protection, a maximum installation depth of 20 m and maximum operating pressure of 2 bar, the LVFSA1D05 provides a robust solution for automatic drinking-water level control.
A float switch detects liquid level through the movement of a buoyant switching body. As the water level rises or falls, the LVFSA1D05 changes position and operates its internal changeover contact. Depending on the electrical connection, this contact can be used to provide either a filling or emptying control function for compatible pumps, contactors, relays or valves.
The supplied counterweight provides a convenient means of establishing the required switching range by adjusting the free cable length between the counterweight and float. Combined with its 5 m ACS-certified cable, polypropylene casing and IP68 protection, the LVFSA1D05 is purpose-designed for reliable level control in drinking-water tanks and similar potable-water installations.
