The ABB 1SVR560731R3701, also known as the CM-UFD.M31M, is a multifunctional grid feeding monitoring relay with Modbus RTU communication. It is designed to provide reliable interface protection between renewable energy generation systems and the public electricity grid by continuously monitoring voltage, frequency and grid stability.
Certified for applications in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE-AR-N 4110 and VDE-AR-N 4120, the CM-UFD.M31M supervises overvoltage, undervoltage, overfrequency, underfrequency, vector shift and ROCOF (Rate of Change of Frequency). If monitored values move outside configured limits, the relay signals an external decoupling device to disconnect the renewable energy system from the public grid safely.

Reliable Grid Protection with Intelligent Communication
The ABB CM-UFD.M31M continuously measures voltage and frequency on single-phase and three-phase electrical networks. If a loss of mains event or unacceptable grid condition is detected, the relay changes the state of its outputs and signals an external contactor, switch-disconnector or circuit breaker to isolate the renewable energy system until stable operating conditions return.
Its integrated Modbus RTU interface enables remote access to operating status, alarms and measured values, making the relay suitable for integration with PLCs, SCADA systems and ABB Ability™ Energy and Asset Manager platforms.
