The Lovato 31DRPTC24 is a PTC thermistor motor protection relay designed for thermal protection of motors equipped with PTC temperature sensors. Operating from a 24 V DC supply, it monitors the thermistor circuit and provides a dedicated temperature-based protection solution for industrial motor control systems.
Part of the Lovato DRPT thermistor protection relay range, the 31DRPTC24 supports selectable manual or automatic reset and incorporates a test button for functional checking. It also provides two changeover auxiliary contacts for integration with control, signalling and motor shutdown circuits.
The relay is designed for standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting and provides IP20 frontal protection. With a 250 V rated insulation voltage between supply, inputs and outputs and a 4 kV rated impulse withstand voltage, it is designed for integration into industrial electrical control panels and motor protection systems.
PTC thermistor protection relays are used with temperature sensors incorporated into motor windings to monitor motor thermal conditions directly. When the thermistor circuit reaches its switching threshold, the protection relay can change the state of its output contacts so the associated control system can stop the motor or provide an alarm.
