Why Choose the Pizzato SM B01F Coded Magnetic Actuator?
The Pizzato SM B01F is a coded magnetic actuator designed specifically for compatible Pizzato SR B series coded magnetic safety sensors. Installed on the movable part of a machine guard or access door, the actuator provides the coded magnetic target required by the associated sensor for reliable non-contact guard-position monitoring.
The SM B01F operates without mechanical contact between the actuator and sensor, helping eliminate actuator wear associated with conventional mechanically operated safety switches. Its coded magnetic operating principle also provides greater resistance to simple bypass attempts than an uncoded magnetic sensing arrangement.
With an actuation distance of 5 mm, the SM B01F is the 5 mm actuator option for the Pizzato SR B sensor family. It is supplied separately from the sensor, making it suitable for new safety installations, replacement requirements and compatible SR B series machine-guard monitoring systems.
Key Advantages
- Genuine Pizzato coded magnetic actuator for compatible SR B series safety sensors.
- 5 mm actuation distance for reliable guard-position detection.
- Non-contact operating principle eliminates mechanical engagement between actuator and sensor.
- Coded magnetic design helps provide protection against actuation by an ordinary magnet.
- Suitable for hinged, sliding and removable machine guards.
- Passive actuator requires no electrical wiring.
- Available separately for replacement or new SR B series safety installations.

Reliable Coded Magnetic Guard Monitoring
Pizzato SR B coded magnetic safety systems use a sensor mounted on the fixed machine structure and a coded actuator mounted on the movable guard. When the guard closes and the SM B01F enters the required operating range, the sensor detects the actuator's coded magnetic field and changes its safety contact state, allowing the associated safety circuit to monitor the position of the protective guard.
The non-contact operating principle makes coded magnetic sensing particularly useful where guard alignment, vibration, contamination or repeated operation can make conventional mechanically actuated switches less convenient. The SM B01F provides a 5 mm assured operating distance when used with the appropriate SR B series sensor and must be installed in accordance with Pizzato's safety and mounting requirements.
