The ABB D11 15-M 40, order code 2CMA241665R1000, is a compact single-phase direct-connected energy meter with Modbus communication. Designed for residential, commercial and building-services energy monitoring, it measures single-phase circuits directly up to 40 A while occupying only one DIN module.
The meter provides measurement of active and reactive energy in both import and export directions, making it suitable for conventional consumption monitoring as well as installations where electrical energy can flow in either direction. Its direct-connected architecture eliminates the need for an external current transformer on circuits within its 40 A measurement capacity.
Integrated RS-485 communication with Modbus RTU allows measured data to be collected remotely by compatible building-management, energy-management and data-acquisition systems. The combination of compact DIN-rail construction, digital energy measurement and industry-standard serial communication makes this D11 variant particularly useful for connected sub-metering applications where panel space is limited.
The ABB D11 15-M 40 provides direct energy measurement on single-phase circuits up to 40 A without requiring external current transformers. Its narrow single-module construction allows individual circuits, loads or sections of an installation to be metered even in distribution boards where DIN-rail capacity is limited.
The integrated RS-485 interface adds remote data access through Modbus RTU, allowing compatible controllers, gateways and energy-management platforms to retrieve meter information over a serial network. This makes the D11 15-M 40 a practical choice for distributed sub-metering systems requiring both local indication and centralised energy data collection.
