Why Choose the WAGO 2202-2707 Double-Deck Ground Terminal Block?

The WAGO 2202-2707 is a compact 4-conductor double-deck protective earth terminal block designed for reliable grounding connections in industrial control cabinets, machinery and electrical distribution systems. Part of the WAGO TOPJOB® S 2202 Series, it combines a 2.5 mm² nominal cross-section with Push-in CAGE CLAMP® technology and push-button actuation for fast, secure and maintenance-friendly conductor termination.

Unlike a conventional double-deck through terminal, the 2202-2707 is specifically designed as a PE protective earth terminal. Its four conductor connection points are internally commoned to a single protective earth potential across two levels, providing a space-saving way to connect multiple protective conductors to the DIN-rail grounding system. The green-yellow housing provides immediate visual identification of its protective earth function.

The WAGO 2202-2707 accepts solid and fine-stranded copper conductors from 0.25 to 4 mm² and supports direct push-in termination for suitable conductors. At only 5.2 mm wide, the two-level design provides four PE connection points while conserving valuable DIN-rail space. It is suitable for DIN-35 × 15 and DIN-35 × 7.5 mm rails, including specified Ex e II applications, and is supplied in a pack of 50.

Key Advantages

  • 4-conductor double-deck PE design provides multiple protective earth connections in minimal DIN-rail space.
  • All four conductor positions are internally commoned to one protective earth potential.
  • Push-in CAGE CLAMP® technology provides secure spring-pressure conductor termination.
  • Push-button actuation simplifies the connection and removal of conductors.
  • Only 5.2 mm wide, helping maximise terminal density within control cabinets.
  • Green-yellow construction provides clear and standardised protective earth identification.

Key Features

  • WAGO TOPJOB® S 2202 Series double-deck terminal block.
  • 4-conductor protective earth / ground configuration.
  • 2 levels with 4 connection points.
  • 1 internally commoned PE potential.
  • 2.5 mm² nominal cross-section.
  • Push-in CAGE CLAMP® connection with push-button operation.
  • Suitable for specified Ex e II applications.
  • Green-yellow PA66 housing with orange push-button actuators.

Space-Saving Double-Deck Protective Earth Distribution

Double-deck protective earth terminals are particularly useful where multiple PE conductors must be terminated in a limited amount of DIN-rail space. The WAGO 2202-2707 provides four conductor connection points across two levels, with all positions internally commoned to a single protective earth potential. This allows several protective conductors to be grouped efficiently without requiring separate single-level terminals.

Push-in CAGE CLAMP® technology uses spring pressure to maintain reliable conductor contact without conventional screw clamping. Suitable solid and ferruled conductors can be inserted directly, while the integrated push-buttons provide convenient operation when terminating other conductor types or removing existing wiring. The result is a compact, clearly identifiable and maintainable grounding solution for professional electrical installations.

Typical Applications

  • Protective earth distribution in industrial control cabinets.
  • High-density grounding connections in DIN-rail terminal assemblies.
  • Machine building and factory automation systems.
  • PLC, sensor and actuator control panels requiring PE connections.
  • Switchgear and low-voltage electrical distribution assemblies.
  • Equipotential bonding and protective conductor installations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the WAGO 2202-2707 used for?

The WAGO 2202-2707 is a 4-conductor double-deck protective earth terminal block used to connect multiple protective conductors to a common PE potential in industrial control panels, machinery and electrical distribution systems.

How many conductors can the WAGO 2202-2707 connect?

The terminal provides four conductor connection points across two levels. All four positions are internally commoned to a single protective earth potential.

What conductor sizes are suitable for the WAGO 2202-2707?

The terminal has a nominal cross-section of 2.5 mm² and accepts solid and fine-stranded copper conductors from 0.25 to 4 mm², depending on conductor construction and termination method.

What connection technology does the WAGO 2202-2707 use?

The WAGO 2202-2707 uses Push-in CAGE CLAMP® spring-pressure technology with push-button actuation. Suitable solid and ferruled conductors can also be inserted directly using push-in termination.

Is the WAGO 2202-2707 a through/through terminal block?

No. The 2202-2707 is specifically a 4-conductor protective earth terminal block. Its two levels are internally commoned to one PE potential, unlike a through/through double-deck terminal that provides separate electrical potentials.
