The ABB A44 311-100 is a professional transformer-connected three-phase electricity meter designed for accurate energy measurement in commercial, industrial and infrastructure installations. As part of the advanced ABB A44 DIN rail mounted meter range, it provides comprehensive monitoring for electrical systems using current and voltage transformer connections.
This Silver functionality-level meter measures active and reactive energy in both import and export directions and supports four energy tariffs. It also provides access to key electrical instrument values including active, reactive and apparent power, current, voltage, power factor and frequency, making it suitable for detailed energy monitoring and electrical-system analysis.
With a 1 A rated current and 6 A maximum current, a voltage range of 3 × 47–331 V AC and configurable transformer ratios, the A44 311-100 is designed for indirect three-phase metering. Two digital inputs and two digital outputs provide flexible tariff control, pulse and alarm functionality, while its compact 7-module DIN rail format enables straightforward integration into distribution boards and control panels.
Transformer-connected electricity meters such as the ABB A44 311-100 enable accurate energy monitoring in electrical systems where current and voltage transformers are used to scale primary electrical quantities to suitable metering levels. This makes the meter particularly useful in larger commercial and industrial distribution systems where direct-connected metering is not appropriate.
The A44 Silver series extends energy measurement with useful instrumentation and tariff functionality. Electrical values including active, reactive and apparent power, current, voltage, power factor and frequency can be monitored, while four tariffs and configurable digital inputs and outputs support more sophisticated energy-management applications.
